Strawberry season is here. For realzies!
There were so many to pick, we almost ran out of collecting bowls and containers!
Other garden progress: these cucumbers. It really amazes me how fast some of these plants can grow in less than a week. Check out the pictures from last Thursday in my last post, linked here.
I took almost the exact same pictures yesterday (Tuesday) just for comparison purposes.
Zucchini
Lettuce planted too tightly, but it makes for a cute picture. Lol
The potatoes were HUGE and all were flowering.
The first colors appearing on the currants.
These white bell flowers really opened up from last time...
This is "kehäkukka" or Calendula Officinalis
...ROSES!!!
Wonder what happened to the one rose bud from this post that had a hole eaten right through?
Here she is!
The neighbors' flowers had me like drawn like a moth to flame again...
Before we left, we took home a bouquet of roses. Had I had a summer wedding, my bouquet may have looked like this.
Breakfast this morning a la Breakfast King: Egg and Bacon sandwiches. This time he fried the egg on the bacon and it turned out great! The bacon stayed put in the sandwich... Try it sometime. Ah, and just so you don't think our lives are super unhealthy (chocolate cakes, bacon breakfasts...), check out the strawberry bowl! :)
Definitely one of my favorite Japan purchases.
We are off to wash rugs! Wish us luck (that we don't get rained on...)!!
Tomorrow begins 9 days straight of work.
Sigh.
Thanks for reading!!
