Ok, so I'm back sooner than I thought I would be. But that is a good thing, right? And while I know this blog was supposed to be about craftiness, it's become a celebration of summer flowers. I promise the craftiness will continue in earnest when the weather outside returns to cold, wet and dark. Till then, bear with me and my fleurs! :)
Today has actually turned out to be a great day off!
We walked with the dogs to my folks with the intention of washing rugs at a place near their house. We made a convenient pit stop through the arboretum because I had an inkling that there might be roses in bloom, since our garden is a-blooming!
AH, IT WAS A-BLOOMING IN THE ROSE GARDEN!!!!

ROSES ----- AAAAAAAAAAH!!!!
What arboretum could be complete without apple trees?
What the hubby and dogs were doing while I was snapping rose pictures...
A gorgeous flower bed!
The peonies seem to be on their way out...
Lilies are on their way in...
After the rose garden/arboretum, we ended up tossing the idea of washing rugs by my folks because of some over-crowding and over-eager like-minded rug washing people.
And we went to a spot by the garden.
I feel better now that it's done. It's a shame though I didn't take pictures of the process, it's a cultural thing here.
We worked up an appetite washing rugs and the hubby had the superb idea of making bacon burgers for dinner.
Bacon for breakfast and bacon for dinner.
I love this man!
Anywho, looks like a summer dinner to me!!! Mmm...!
I wish I had smores or smores brownies or something with marshmallows and chocolate for second dessert. Lol!
Well thanks for reading!
Happy rest of the week!!
