The first snow arrived on Monday, here we are on Thursday and it's still here. Well, actually there is even more of it! I'd love if it would just stay put and not melt again. I hate the slush! The snow is great though, it makes the dark Northern world I live in so much brighter. Not to mention, the dogs just love it to bits! They frolic and play during walks now instead of just boringly sniffing the ground. :)
I have been enjoying the scent and color of this hyacinth. I bought it without knowing the color but I'll be honest I was hoping for a pink one! Shocking, I know. Lol.
We have Christmas decorations up, just waiting for the tree now. I think maybe we will pick one up tomorrow perhaps. I hope the bus driver doesn't mind us hauling a little tree home! My dad bought us these Christmas balls (Thanks again Isä!) a couple weeks ago, their plastic but glittery -- perfect for this house! I would love to have glass ornaments in beautiful vintage shapes and colors, but alas, with this cat and that big bear dog, I don't think it's wise! I'm hoping the tree isn't terribly abused by Koda, he was such a small puppy last Christmas the tree wasn't an issue. This year, he's at least 7 times the size he was...I'm hoping for the best.
I have a lot on my to do list before Christmas. I have to finish up my last two handmade gifts, wash all 3 animals (and brush out little fuzzy bear -- which takes a long time!), finish up my clinical training (7 more days) and return a draft of my thesis plan by Monday. I am a little stressed out at the moment, so much to do! I'd best get on with it though, obviously starting from my most favorite part, the handmade gifts. Teeheehee! (I wish I would make life easier on myself and start from the opposite end of the list!) Oh well.
My mom is doing better if you were wondering. She is hoping to be able to go home soon! I can't wait for her to be able to, hospitals don't suit her well at all!
Thanks for reading! :)
