getting it done, the beginning

Can you believe we are already 5 days into 2012!!?!?! It feels like so much longer! Lol!

(this was yesterday morning, so pretty although gray!) 

The good ol' hubster and I decided the mantra for this year is "get it done" (except said the redneck Larry the cable guy way). That's what we've been doing!

5 days in to the first month, I have the baby shower gift finished. Here is a sneak peek... I'll ta-dah after the 25th just in case! 

I have made 10 pink hexagons.

I have perused these books from the library countless times. I've even considered learning to knit just to make adorable dog sweaters!

I have been thrifting, shopping and so on. (This strawberry mug was a favorite find!)

And my poor poor Koda Bear just had his big surgery. Yep, he's a neutered boy. I feel so bad we are putting him through this all, but it's for his and everyone's best. Doesn't make it any easier though! I hate seeing him so down in the dumps. My poor beautiful bear. :(

Hubby is finally making some beer, he's been talking about for a while and with the mantra decided, it's time to go for it! I love that he is getting some satisfaction out of creating. Man there is a lot of chemistry and physics though with home brewing! Lol! 

The weather is trying to make up its mind still. It's still snow and then rain, snow and rain. At least the ground is white, although it's slushy to walk in! This is our purple-ish "sunset". Is it possible to have a sunset when the sun has been well hidden all day? Ah, life's mysteries!
