Meringue madness

Hi, I'm Anneli and I am obsessed with meringue.

It's been a long process, starting with pavlovas (this summer) and falling into meringue cookie drops and Halloween meringue ghost madness.

I fear there is no end, I have already made them twice in the last week! ...But it's just so darn FUN!

As you can see, I have been experimenting with different piping techniques and food coloring. Really, it's a lot of fun!

And I am assuming the meringue madness isn't coming to an end anytime soon...because I found more inspiration. So much inspiration in fact, that I am having a hard time coping with it, lol!

OMG -- MERINGUE BOXES!!!!!!! And a whole chapter in this Christmas book about MERINGUE! You should have seen the look on my face last night! Hahahaah...

An assortment of meringue cookies. Piped into the shape of poinsiettas, cocoa added for chocolate meringue and then dusted with cocoa powder (which makes it look less like a turd, I think). Pinks, greens, piping dreams...

And a whole page of how-to. Look at that assortment! Ideas galore! And see those middle pictures, that is a tart bottom! Think -- a meringue crust for something luscious and fruity inside! I love it!

If you were wondering, here is the cover of the book. It's from 1997! The MS living magazine underneath it is circa December 1998. The wreaths book is from 1996, it's also full of beautiful ideas and pictures. Oh Martha, you know how to do things right. 

Honestly, the magazine was full of outdated ads (ahem, pentium prosessor II, Cindy Crawford as a model etc), but Martha's ideas are just as classy today as they were then. In fact, I might even say, she was ahead of the times! Things in these books/magazine are even trendy today! 

Oh my what a weekend ahead of me!

Crocheting, perhaps meringues and tomorrow is a big craft expo! I promise to try to not pee my pants if I see something amazing!
