honeymoon blog link

The wedding came and went and it was gorgeous and wonderful. Incredibly funny too, especially the ceremony when I 1) forgot my bouquet of tulips down the aisle 2) put the ring on his right hand and it got stuck (!) 3) we messed up the vows and 4) ended up dancing in about 2m2 to our song without any practice and we aren't ballerinas if you know what I mean...

We had a grand time and it was certainly a day we'll never forget. And WEIRD TO BE A MRS!!!

So off we went to Kyoto for our honeymoon. And no, there weren't any signs of catastrophe there. It was business as usual.
Naturally I had to blog about our experiences so go check it out if you are feeling froggy. :) A Kyoto kind of Honeymoon

Thanks for reading,
I hope to blog again soon about crocheted love. Once I get a chance to crochet again! (thanks again school and clinical trainings for stealing all my time)

Overwhelmingly busy

First off,
my mom loved LOVED l-o-v-e-d her new room and all the other stuff we had done in the house! She said after we left she just went from room to room admiring our handiwork. I am so happy she is happy. If you remember my last post there was an empty spot calling for a comfy chair... well we made it happen, and I must say luck or something else was on our side, because when we went to Ikea to pick one up, they were on sale for 30e less. Cool beans, saving 30e and they were the print chairs. So we sat in the chairs in the showroom upstairs and tried to decide on a print. We finally chose a gray/white plaid-y gingham (?) pattern thinking it is more "country" etc...only to go to the "as-is section" downstairs to find it. The chair. I about cried because it was so perfect, it was the last of its kind (the pattern is retiring) and it was the most gorgeous shade of light green. It was love at first sight, AND it was cheaper! We had to have it. The only problem was we needed a car (we came by bus expecting to carry a large heavy box home, not an assembled chair) so I had to call around for favors, finally my dad's friend said he could come and we got the lovely chair home!!! I unfortunately don't have any pictures because I lost my old Kodak somewhere in the house but it is an Ektorp Jennylund chair if you are an Ikea regular like me and know all the product names, lol. When we go there next, I'll have to take a picture with our brand spanking new wedding gift to ourselves, our Canon 550D aka Rebel T2i. BEST CAMERA EVER! Well worth the money. Our Kyoto pictures are sure to be amazing!!! Look at this quality!!!

My returning home present to myself, gorgeous tulips to make me smile. =)
Unfortunately a few days later they end up looking like this (still pretty though):

After shovelling all the snow we had in the 6 weeks we were gone, it stands taller than our rather large puppy.

As for crafting, I haven't gotten very far. Unfortunately, like usual, life is getting the way! The granny squares and that final row of the acorn, which are both stressing me out, I hate unfinished projects lurking about, have been put on the back burner so that I can work on my shrug for the wedding. Which is Friday. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really need to pull myself together and get it done! I am sooo behind. We went to the church this past Friday for our rehearsal with the pastor and took these pictures.

It was so weird to practice walking down the aisle. Weird in general that we are going to be married by next week. FINALLY! I am so happy I can't even think straight half the time. hahah. Anywho, I was planning on decorating the ends of the pews with the tissue paper and tulle flowers from the Greedy for Colour blog. However, those little sphere decorations are apparently there to stay so I guess I won't be needing them for the church. I still want to make them though so perhaps I'll decorate the house with them. Planning a wedding, even a small one (our guest list is at 25), is really stressful. It's really just a big party, but where to find the dishes for everyone and seating for everyone in a tiny apartment etc etc etc?! It's going to be some work for the little gray cells. ;) We've planned on serving beef and salmon soup (not one soup, two soups lol) and different kinds of breads and cheeses with cakes and coffee to follow. Simple, easy and quite cheap. All of this wedding stuff is enough to make me feel like this:
 hahahahahhahahahahahhahah
Hope you have a great week,
Thanks for reading!

(Next time wedding pictures???)
